Love on the Hudson River :
Corinne and Dylan's Riverside Engagement Photo Session
Could I have chosen a cheesier title? Probably not, but capturing love next to the Hudson River was literally was I did so there it is.
This was my first session during my trip up north this summer and it could not have been a better start. My husband tagged along to assist at this waterfront park that Corinne + Dylan chose. We'd never been here and at first glance, it may not seem like much but Louis Engel Waterfront park provides a panoramic view of the Hudson River, complete with sailboats, gorgeous flowers and hilly backdrops. Though we didn't quite get a glow, we did get a hint of a sunset with some faint pink skies.
Dylan is a fellow artist (and oh my, he showed us some of his work and it is unreal) so it felt like he understood my often ramble-y instructions and sometimes out-there-ish kind of asks -- and Corinne is a teacher (my career from what feels like a lifetime ago) so she understood my type A tendencies. My favorite part of this session was how easy it was for them to laugh with each other. I generally spend sessions trying to get clients to laugh, but these 2 had my husband and I laughing so hard. I've never connected so well with a couple at our first meeting. It's definitely a sign of good things to come for their wedding next July in Connecticut!
