Sunset in Stamford :
Nat + Nick's Botanical Garden Engagement Session
Nat + Nick's engagement session was during my trip up to CT this summer, so naturally my mom tagged along. If we've chatted (or are going to chat) about your Connecticut wedding -- you'll hear me mention that there's no travel fee because I'll use any excuse to go visit my mom. So, Cindy served as my assistant during Nat + Nick's session at the Bartlett Arboretum + Gardens in Stamford, Connecticut.
I ooh-ed and aah-ed over this place many times over in the hour we spent there. I believe at one point I called it a "photographer's playground" because there was a new compositional element at every turn. Bartlett Arboretum + Gardens is sort of... hidden? in Stamford, CT. It's like entering a fairy garden. And as if the gorgeous florals and sweeping trees weren't enough, this is where Nat + Nick had their first date in 2020.
I absolutely adore doing photos in the northeast -- especially the tristate area (NY, NJ + CT) because the clients are always fast talking, honest and sarcastic. And that trio of traits feels like HOME. We laughed (at my mom's expense, quite a bit - sorry, mom!), making this session feel so easy. Nat + Nick interact SO well with each other that there was very little prompting on my end (and that is such a gift).
I cannot wait to capture their wedding day in Connecticut in 2025!
